Cogeneration works by taking waste heat generated by manufacturing and processing plants and turns it into reliable energy, helping reduce total greenhouse gas emissions.

ExxonMobil has interest in more than 100 cogeneration facilities around the world. And these facilities produce enough energy to power the equivalent of 2.5 million U.S. homes a year.
