Today, Brazil is undergoing an energy renaissance thanks in part to a geological formation off its shores.
The natural phenomenon found deep under the ocean floor known as the pre-salt basins, have dramatically increased the country’s energy potential and fueled new excitement for Brazil’s future.
ExxonMobil has made significant investments in Brazil over the past few years, and has approximately 2.6 million net acres of exploration potential in pre-salt opportunities. Today, the company has about 1,600 employees across its operations, mostly at the Global Business Center in Curitiba, and 98% of employees are Brazilian nationals.
That’s why ExxonMobil considers Brazil a key country for potential groundbreaking development.
